"Your sister is crying before My photograph"
(Narrated by Shri. Ravi Kumar sir in one of the Trayee sessions)
The following incident happened in the late 1970's. Bhagavan had opened the boys hostel and the institute only 3 / 4 years before. Boys those days used to spend most of the time in Baba's physical presence apart form the college hours. It was during one such session that the incident described below took place.
As swami called the students near HIM, he pointed out to one student and said, "Your sister was crying before my photograph today". Stunned with such a revelation from Swami, the boy rushed towards Swami, eager to know if something had gone wrong. Baba took him closer and said, "Tell your father that I am calling him and that he should come here as soon as possible". Still eager to know what the matter could be, the boy pressed on "Swami Is something wrong? What happened to her?"
"Nothing. No problem... You don't worry. I'm looking after her. Why then do you worry?" said Swami and assured him of everything being all right.
The boy's parents came and Swami called them for an interview. The boy too went in with them. Inside the interview room, Swami spoke to all assembled there and in the end asked this boy's family to go into the inner interview room.
As the boy's family settled in the inner interview room, Swami came and sat down in HIS chair. Swami called the boy's sister and asked her "Kaisa hai (How are you?). The girl curled herself at Swami's feet and replied " Swami ka grace se atcha hai (I am fine with Swami's grace.)". Swami then turned to the boy's father and asked "Bolo sir, Kya vichar hai? (Speak sir, What have you been thinking?)". The father spoke "Swami, aap ka ijazad hai to is ka shadi karane ki soch rahe hai...(Swami if you permit, We are thinking of getting her married"). "Han Han ... Janta hai yeh baat. Isiliye toh yeh roh rahi thi meri tasvir ke samne.... (Yes yes, I know, that is why she was crying before my photo)" replied Swami looking at the boy.
Hearing this, the girl looked up towards swami and.... started crying. Swami looked at the father again and said " Tum dono itna jaldi kyon karta hai? Usko abhi itcha nahi hai. (Why are you both in a hurry? She does not want it now". For a moment no one spoke, then Swami spoke again" Shadi bad mein rakh na (Keep the marriage later.)". Hearing this, the father spoke "Theek hai Swami.... Hamne socha ki itna atcha rishta aya hai... abhi shadi kar dete hai, bad me shayad aye na (As you say Swami, We only thought - such a good proposal may not come another time, so let us get her married now)".
Swami's clothes were now fully wet with the girl's tears. HE looked at her and said " pehle iski Doctor ki padhai khatam ho jane do, phir dekhenge... Parivarik Dharm beech aya to padhai begad sakti hai....(First let her become a Doctor, as she wants to be. Family responsibility may be an impediment in the completion of her studies)".
Swami briefly glanced at the parents, the boy and then shifting his attention to the girl said "Tumko kaisa ladka chahiye (What sort of a boy do you want?)". The girl was taken by surprise but before she could answer Swami spoke again " Doctor ko doctor hi atcha hai. Hum doctor ko hi bheje ga. (For a doctor Doctor only will be a good match. Ishall send one.). Swami then held her hand and said "Tumhara shadi hamare sar par. Chinta na karo (Your marriage is now my responsibility Don't worry)".... So saying swami got up and left the room leaving the whole family star-struck.
The family, especially the girl left elated from Parthy. As soon as she completed her internship, Swami called her and arranged for her marriage. Even before she completed her studies, Swami had selected a boy for her, so that by the time she completed her studies, other formalities could be worked out faster.
Swami, as He always mentions is our DIVINE MOTHER. How meticulously, HE took care of the matter just like a mother pays attention to maters relating to her child. This episode also proves one more thing... not a single thought / a desire is unknown to HIM. He gives us what we want in the process of making us ready to take from HIM what HE wants to give us.

COLLECTION OF SWAMI'S MIRACLES... Why does Baba produce the Lingam from within..
«
Reply #1 on:

Why does Baba produce the Lingam from within Himself on Mahasivaratri night?
"It is not possible for you to understand the Divine and gauge Its potentials or know the significance of Its manifestation. In order to bear witness to the fact that Divinity is amongst you, it becomes necessary for Me to express this attribute of Mine. Otherwise the atmosphere of hatred, greed, envy, cruelty, violence and irreverence, will overwhelm the good, the humble and the pious. The Lingam is a symbol of the Beginningless and Endless or the Infinite. Its shape is like a Nirakaar. 'Li' stands for Liyathe meaning That in which all names and forms merge; and 'Gam' stands for Gamayathe meaning That towards which all forms proceed. It is the fittest symbol of the Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent Lord. Everything starts from it and everything is subsumed in it." - Baba.
In His previous body as Pathri Sai, the young Babu used to worship the Lingam in a Moslem Mosque and recite the Koran in loud and clear tones in Hindu Temples. He had brought both the communities to His doorstep, the Masjid Dwarkamayi at Shirdi and when He left His body, both the Hindus and Moslems claimed Him as their own. As Parthi Sai, He produces a Lingam with the markings of a Star and a Crescent, symbolic of Islam and further. He invests a Zoroastrian child with a Yagnopavitam. This is the sacred thread of the Brahmins, traditionally denied even to some Hindus. He also makes the Brahmin Vedic pundits teach the Purusha Sukta to His College boys and girls, once again traditionally recited only by male Brahmins. Has anyone the capacity or the authority to question the mandates of the Veda- purusha who manifests the Lingodbhava? By such acts Baba transcends the barriers of caste, creed, race, religion and goes beyond the limits of Ordinary Prakriti Dharma, to demonstrate the oneness of all humanity living in a Society, harmoniously established in an Adhyatmic State of Life. This is the real meaning of Dharma Sthapana.
Picture inset shows a Jyoti Lingam (top left and bottom right) with a cup-shaped flame in the form of a trishul (trident). The flame was changing colours every ten minutes. Baba is seen holding a Lingam with the Star and the Crescent, pointing to the essential unity of Islamic Faith and Sanathana Dharma.

Who performed the surgery?
A man suffering from a number of ailments got his heart examined in the super speciality hospital. His condition was extremely distressing. Doctors felt that he was in no position to undergo the strain of surgical interventions and refused to do anything. The patient began to pray fervently to Swami. He prayed to Bhagawan that he should somehow get the operation done and restore him to normal health. Bhagawan heard his prayers. He talked to the doctors and enquired how this particular patient was doing. They explained that he was suffering from several complaints and their opinion, it was not a fit case for operation. Swami said, "Go ahead and perform the operation. Nothing untoward will happen. I will oversee it". The operation was performed and to the utter disbelief of doctors, it was successful. Some days later, Swami enquired about his health. The doctors informed Him that the operation was very successful and that the patient is in excellent condition.
It is a usual practice at the super speciality hospital to take the video films of operations performed in complicated cases. Swami asked the doctors to view this particular operation. They were surprised when they did so; they found around the operation table Swami in several forms and resembling each one of them. Relieved of their pride and ego, they realized that it was Swami and Swami alone, who was performing operations and that they were only incidental, mere tools in His divine hands.
With utter humility they bowed to the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan.

Sairam! Surely you deserve kudos from all the members for hoisting several Feasts in the Forum! Sairam.
its Swami who is making me do all these things in this forum. i am just an instrument who is surfing net to get Swami's messages and put it all in a nutshell in our forum for the spiritually hungry atmas.
But the irony is i am personally having many health problems. I come to this forum just to see Swami thru all the members, especially you Saisaranji. i feel your messages are nothing but Swami's message written in this forum by Swami Himself. In other words I imagine Swami in you....
Thanks for your messages.

Whatever you sow, you will reap - Sathya Sai Baba
Movielike projection by Swami in 1948
The author Dr. A.V. Lakshminarasimhan, is a Faculty Member in the Department of Bio-Sciences of the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning at the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus. This is one of the miracles mentioned in his article.
"Way back in 1948 when Bhagawan was 22 years of age in this beautiful physical frame, a certain wealthy man visited Prasanthi Nilayam along with his twin sons who were born blind. This wealthy man had toured the world over and had consulted great eye-specialists but all of them had said unanimously that it was impossible to provide eyesight to the blind twins. Hence the wealthy man had come to see the young Bhagawan. Bhagawan did not see them for seven long days. When the devotees, who had brought this family to Prasanthi Nilayam, prayed to Bhagawan for an interview, He called the wealthy man and his family along with the devotees. Bhagawan gave them all a profound discourse on the law of Karma and human dharma. At the end, when the devotees prayed and almost persuaded Bhagawan to grant sight to the twins, He said, 'Look, what these twins have done in their past life' and asked the devotees to look towards the corner of the interview room. What they saw was like a movie. These twins appeared as two cruel dacoits. They appeared to be tying two other persons to a tree in the forest and plucking out their eyes and robbing them of their wealth. The devotee was perplexed and disturbed seeing this incident taking place before his eyes.
Bhagawan asked the devotees.'Tell me, shall I grant sight to these boys? If you are in My place what will you do?' The devotee had no answer. He fell at Bhagawan's Lotus feet and cried, 'Baba, pardon me for my audacity. You are God, being ever present in the past, present and future. You are our destiny. Please save us all.' Bhagawan with all His Love lifted the devotee and said that the twins had repented for their evil deeds and prayed to God for forgiveness. Their lifestyle had changed. They served the poor with the robbed money and as a result of which they have been born in the house of the wealthy man. They cannot, however, escape from the evil act of blinding two innocent persons and hence had to be born blind. Bhagawan assured that now that they had come to His divine presence, their future would be good and that He would take care of them and would bless them."

Sairam! You are perfectly right in saying that Baba is the prime mover and we do His bidding. In spite of your health problems, you get joy in spreading Sai's memory from the begining of Sai Era like posting the discourses from the first one, displaying the rare videos of easter years. This seems to be the medicine you require to solve your health problems! How many in the forum take special effort to wade through various resources and select the same for posting in this forum! In fact, many of the members may not be aware of Swami and your contributions create deep interest in them. May Bagawan be with your efforts always everywhere blessing you in every one of your godward journey! Sairam.

You are absolutely right sairam. i dont take any kind of medicine as i am scared by the word Doctor. I am scared of the side effects which will create after using the medicine. so i feel its better to bear the pain for 2 or 3 days as Swami is there to take care of me. i take vibuthi as the medicine by chanting the vibuthi mantra. That plays wonders.

Water into petrol
As Jesus Christ changed water into wine to satisfy a need, so Sai Baba turned water into petrol to satisfy a different need. It happened one day as Baba was being driven along a country road in India. The car suddenly stalled and stopped. The driver examined it and found that the fuel tank was empty. "There is no more petrol in the tank", said he. 'They have no wine,' said Jesus's mother (John 2:3). There was no filling station within sight and no passing traffic. Baba ordered that the petrol tank be filled with water from a nearby pond and this was done.
The driver got back into the car with trepidation and nervously switched on the ignition, and the engine responded beautifully. He drove all the way to their destination hours away on a tank filled with pond water!

VISION AT RISHIKESH
(source S.Balu)
“I worship Bhagavan Baba as Sri Bhagavan Narayana Himself and none other. I have written a book based on the Bhagavatha and dedicated it to Bhagavan Baba. I hope to place it at the feet of Sai Narayana shortly,“ said seventy year old Shri Subbaramayya Naidu of Venkatagiri, his face lighting up with devotion as he spoke.
Shri Subbaramayya is a blessed individual, most apt to talk with fervour, for he is a witness of the most fantastic divine Vision given by Bhagavan that has been recorded in Sai history. This was a vision of Jyoti Ananta Padmanabha given to Purushottamananda at Vasishta guha (cave) near Rishikesh, during Bhagavan Baba‘s first visit to Rishikesh at the Invitation of Sri Sivananda.
“Yes, I know, and I have experienced the proof of his divinity. He is Lord Narayana in human form, come for the upliftment of humanity,“ he said.
Sri Subbaramayya continued, “I first saw Sri Sai Baba in 1950 when Baba visited Venkatagiri at the invitation of the royal family of Venkatagiri. Then the Yuvaraja invited me to darshan. At that time, I was President of the local branch of the Divine Life Society, and I had been initiated by Swami Sivananda in 1944“. He bad always been a spiritual person. Earlier his father had sent hirn to Sri Malayalaswami. He had been with Ramana Maharshi for two years and also had darshan of Sri Aurobindo and Swami Ramdas in his early years. He had also read a lot on Theosophy. But when he saw Swami Sivananda, he knew he bad found bis guru and had been initiated.
With such a spiritual background, Subbaramayya was, indeed, overwhelmed when he saw Bhagavan Baba. The devotion of the Venkatagiri Royal Family for Bhagavan Baba thoroughly impressed upon his mmd. He was blessed with vibhuti created by Sri Baba and he also saw several other materialisations. Sri Baba used to visit Venkatagiri every year, and there were sankirtans in the palace to which Subbaramayya was always invited.
He remembered how, during one of bis early talks, Baba bad referred to his previous form at Shirdi. He particularly mentioned a rickshaw used by him when he was Shirdi Baba.It was then in Hyderabad.
Those talks used to be cosy and intimate, within the palace precincts, with just the royal family and select guests. After three years of such private visits the royal family took the decision to invite the public to them so that they, too, might have the benefit of Sri Baba‘s darshan and hear bis discourse. So in 1953—54, for the first time, a public sankirtan was arranged in Boddu Saika the inner quadrangle of the palace and Sri Subbaramayya took an important role in arranging the meeting at the request of the yuvaraja, bis friend. Baba was happy with the arrangements, as it would benefit the people of Venkatagiri. It became a precedent for Subbaramayya to request Bhagavan Baba to preside over the All-India Conference of the Divine Life Society hosted in Venkatagiri. Wben be wrote about tbis proposal to Swami Sivananda, it was said that he agreed. immediately. However, a few others in tbe ashram demurred and Subbaramayya received a letter from Swami Sivananda. “There are two opinions about inviting Baba. Will you be responsible if anything happens?“
He promptly replied, “Swamiji, I accept full responsibility“ and they acquiesced. He went to Puttaparthi and Baba graciously accepted to preside over the conference. Subbaramayya made several more visits to finalise the arrangements.
Subbaramayya recalls how Swami Sadananda‘s arrival was delayed till the eleventh hour and how Baba allayed bis anxiety by assuring him, “Subbaramayya don‘t worry, he will come on time. You carry on with your work“.
Swami Sadananda arrived on time and the inauguration took place as scheduled. Swanii Sadananda remained aloof on the first day and appeared to have his own reservations about Baba. But, on the second day, everyone could see that there was a definite change. He never left Baba‘s side and, later, also went to Puttaparthi with Baba. After that conference, there was a telegram from Swami Sivananda inviting Baba to kindly visit their ashram and bless them.
As a result, when Bhagavan Baba planned his tour of North India, a visit to Rishikesh was included in the itinerary. Subbaramayya Naidu and the Yuvaraja of Venkatagiri were arnong those who accornpanied Sri Baba to Delhi. Subbaramayya and Mr. Tirumalachari (who wrote the Telugu version of Sathyam, sivam, sundaram) went ahead of Swami‘s party to Rishikesh. A cottage “Shiva Kutir“ had been got ready for Baba and everyone in the ashram was excited about Swarni‘s stay. Swami Chidananda was then the General Secretary of the ashrarn. Swami was given a spontaneous and enthusiastic welcome. Beautiful sankirtan was arranged at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, after which Swami Sivananda asked Subbaramayya. to speak on “the Life and Mission of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba“. lt was a great honour for Subbaramayya and he spoke about what he had heard, what he had seen and what he had experienced about Sri Baba.
After two days, Subbararnayya (an advocate by vocation) approached Sri Baba and said that he had to get back to appear in a case at Nellore. Baba cut him short saying “Your case is adjourned“. After talking to Sri Baba, Subbaramayya returned to his room and found a telegram waiting for hirn. The telegram stated that the case had been adjourned, so he need not return in a hurry. Re wondered again and again how Baba could have predicted the adjournment.
Sri Baba stayed in the ashram for seven days, rnuch to the joy of Swarni Sivananda. Several tirnes Subbararnayya was called upon to translate Sri Baba‘s Telugu talks to others—a task that filled him with immense joy. Baba took the party on several excursions around the area. On the fifth day (after their arrival), he said, “Let us go to Vasishta Guha“ (Vasishta cave). The place was nearly fifteen rniles away from Rishikesh. The route was through difficult terrain, with a steep half.mile climb down. At the end of this tricky trek, they found to their surprise, a sanyasi standing with a garland for Baba! How did the sanyasi know that Sri Baba was coming?
The sanyasi was none other tban Swami Purushottamananda who bad been living in the guha (cave) for several years. Seeing Baba, he went off to a trance, losing all body consciousness. In Baba‘s party there were two musicians, Raman and Lakshman, who sang songs of saint-cornposer Tyagaraja in that sacred place. Slowly, Swami Purushottamananda came back frorn bis trance. There were nearly forty of them in that party that evening, Sri Baba sat on the floor of the cave.
Purushottarnananda‘s pupil, Swarni Kalikananda, said to Sri Baba, “I have chronic stomach pain; please bless me“. Baba materialised a white piece of rock or stone that looked like ice and gave it to him saying, “Take it twice everyday“.
Baba gave them all a wonderful musical treat that evening by singing a composition of Tyagaraja; “Sri Raghuvara Sugunalaya“. “It was like the music of the Gandharvas and Kinnaras*. “What bliss. What ecstasy! All of us forgot everything in the divine ananda that enveloped us, thanks to the melodious music of Sri Baba. It was an experience out of this world,“ said Subbararnayya. “I never had irnagined that music could lift one to such sublime heights. Sri Baba had indeed given us a totally unexpected and rare treat of superb excellence,“ recollected Subbaramayya, who could not have imagined in his wildest dreams, the treasure in store for him at that holy cave.
Soon after the song, everyone trooped out of the cave. Subbaramayya, too started to step out, but Baba stopped hirn. And so he had the unique chance of witnessing what transpired between Sri Baba and Purushottamananda. Sri Baba rnaterialised a “sphatika“ (crystal) mala and gave it to him. Then, he rested with his head on the sanyasi‘s lap! As Subbaramayya watched, the head became big, bigger and continued to invrease in size, at the same time, becoming lustrous like the Sun. The entire cave was bathed in a resplendent light, a rare luminosity, a tejas (radiance) that filled the atmosphere. Sri Baba‘s entire body was like a mass of light, with a huge face shining with great brilliance. Subbaramayya stood transfixed, aware that this was no ordinary sight, but a divine vision. Oh! What grace! He was lost in the brilliance and the aura, which slowly disappeared as Sri Baba‘s own face began to reappear. Sri Baba soon came out of the cave and joined the others. But be did not say anything to anybody. He was quiet. Later, Subbaramayya slowly described what he had seen to the Venkatagiri Yuvaraja, who was with them, but who had missed the Sai transfiguration. “You are very lucky,“ said the Yuvaraja.
The next day Sri Baba asked Subbaramayya, “Now do you know why Iaskedyou to stay?“
Sri Subbaramayya was unable to speak, for bis heart was so füll. Later, when they returned to Delhi, Sri Baba explained to bis party the vision in the cave.
“I gave darshan of Jyotirmaya Ananta Padmanabha» he said and added, “Subbaramayya saw it“. He further explained that “This was done from the naabhi* trough the Brahma randhraj** which was indeed a great revelation of how he bad operated bis shakti to grant a divine boon to
Purushottamananda.
This is the greatest spiritual experience Sri Baba granted me, through bis infinite grace,“ said Subbaramayya who became convinced more than ever, that Sri Baba was none other than Lord Narayana in human form come to uplift humanity. He continued to visit Puttaparthi and bask in the glory of Sri Baba‘s love and hospitality which was showered on hirn with such abundance. Sri Baba also graced his house with bis visit and blessed bis family. Once he materialised a rudraksha bead for Subbaramayya and told him to keep it between bis brows and meditate. He commended bis efforts in sadhana and gave blessings for spiritual progress. “I always have Baba in my heart. Now for a few years, my deep involvement with my work for the Divine Life Society has kept me away from working for the Sri Sathya Sai Samithi. I had to make a choice, since I could not work simultaneously for both organisations. I made my choice, since Sivananda was my first guru, the guru who initiated me and my duty was to him first. Hence, I decided to dedicate my life to the work and activities of the Divine Life Society.
“However, I cherish Sri Baba‘s physical presence and the chances I had to spend so much time in hs pbysical presence and savour the nectarine sweetness of bis company. We are indeed blessed to be Baba‘s contemporaries“ stated the blessed Subbaramayya categorically.

Another Vibhuti Wonder
I can also share with you another miracle. There is a district by the name Khammam about a fifteen hours drive from here. There is a very small village close to Khammam by the name Chilukuru. Our seva dals went there and started doing some service. They noticed a Hanuman temple there, which was dilapidated and neglected. There was no priest, no daily worship, nothing whatsoever. So, the seva dals cleaned the whole premises; they whitewashed the whole temple. While they were there, they kept Baba’s picture.
From Bhagavan’s picture, vibhuthi started flowing continuously. Those seva dals were immensely happy for the kindness of Bhagavan, approving and accepting their service to Hanuman. In doing this, Swami was establishing that He and Hanuman are one and the same.
The seva dals also did bhajans there in the temple premises. They saw Baba’s face in the photo, full red in colour. Normally, Hanuman’s face is smeared with the red colour (vermillion), as most of us must have seen. They noticed the same thing on Baba’s face. I also wanted to share this had happened.

Vibhuti means miracle
by CH - USA
(Editors Note: The following story is about a Sai devotee who experienced an amazing transformation while attending a Sai Baba retreat this summer. Her name has been altered for privacy reasons. Your comments or reaction to this story are welcome here. Please let us know if something similar has ever happened to you. By sharing our "good news", we lift others.) What an amazing story! Our friend "Linda" just diagnosed with 4th stage pancreatic cancer just had what looks to be a wonderful miracle while visiting Wilma Bronkey's July 4th weekend Sai retreat/reunion. Jody and I met her there for this Sai event. Almost every speaker and nearly every topic discussed seemed aimed, at least in part at Linda. One of the principle speakers was Al Drucker. I had arranged to interview him on video in front of the whole gathering on the last day of the retreat. It was a wide ranging 90 minute interview that touched on many Baba miracles, the Course In Miracles and some important life lessons. Before the interview, Al followed us in his car from his hotel since he wasn't quite sure how to get to Wilma's from downtown Grants Pass, Oregon. Linda rode with him and in the car she asked Al about her cancer. Al told Linda, "You need to go home, you don't belong here", to which Linda asked Al, "What about you?" Al's reply was, "I already am home". Linda had been thinking about many treatment options regarding her cancer over the last three weeks since receiving her diagnosis. The medical establishment has nothing to offer her but she has thought of traveling to China, Germany or the UK for experimental treatments. When informed about Linda, Wilma had told Jody and me to bring her to the Grants Pass retreat but she made no promises. All she said was that Linda would be spared pain during her stay at the retreat. The retreat was like being in Parthi, charged up people, interesting discourses and a hot and dry atmosphere that seemed appropriate to help burn away the veneer of what we all brought with us. During the hour and a half recorded interview with Al, Linda needed to leave the covered deck to be alone. She found a place in the shade where she could hear the PA speakers and allowed herself to drift into meditation to Baba. Picking up on Al's comments she told Baba, "I want to go home". Then she said something that even she was surprised to hear herself say, "I want to go home. Call me on the phone if you want me to come to India Baba". Linda had no idea where such a strange command had come from but she said it felt like the correct thing to say to Baba. Sunday evening, after the retreat had concluded Linda was invited to spend the night at Wilma's. Wilma performed a healing on Limfs, something she does very rarely anymore and Linda went to sleep very content. Yesterday morning, upon awakening Linda wanted to make a call, but as she went to use the phone she noticed that it was covered with vibuthi. She thought little of it except that it was odd. The phone wouldn't work and as she lifted it to see what was wrong she found vibuthi actually growing underneath the phone. At breakfast Wilma told Linda that even though vibuthi is common in her home, nothing like this had ever happened before. She also said that it was most unusual for her phone to be out of order. It was only at this moment that Linda began to recall her request to Baba from the previous day. Wilma asked Linda what she had planned to do next and Linda shared her interest in traveling to China and elsewhere for alternative treatments for her advanced cancer. Wilma acknowledged that all of these things can be helpful but said to Linda, "Why don't you go see Baba?" And she is. Today Linda is working feverishly using Wilma's travel agent to arrange to fly to India with her son. She hopes to go in the next several days or within a couple of weeks at the latest. I have no doubt she will make it. At the start of the retreat on Saturday morning Linda was invited to begin the session with a short talk to the children, with the adults arranged behind them. She told them many stories about Baba and led them all on a wonderful guided imagery meditation. She also told them one thing more, that earlier when visiting with Ama, India's hugging and loving guru, that Ama had told her that she would be forever thereafter known not as Linda but by another name. The name Ama had chosen to be Linda's new name, was Vibuthi. It is what we all called her during Wilma's retreat. It is what Linda has become. And it is what has been created for her in response to her plea to Baba. And today, it is what is sending her on her way to India. Vibuthi. I'll keep you posted as the story continues to unfold. Vibhuti cures the child's hand
Baba vibhudi has saved lots of people. Here is one story:
A little boy of three years had burnt his hand so badly during the festivalof lights (Deepavali) while handling fire-crackers, that the doctors advised that the child's hand be amputated. The young mother was very upset and praying to Swami applied Vibhuti which had been given to her by Swami a few months earlier, on the child's wounds. She did so for a week, whereupon the child's hand got completely cured without leaving even a single mark of burn.
