Puttaparthi Trip

Dear All,

I visited Puttaparthy last friday and saturday. It was a wonderful trip. Had darshan of Samadhi couple of times. Baba's large portraits in the main hall were life like and it never appeared as if Baba were not there physically.

Birthday crowd had thinned down and was reducing gradually during my stay over there. Had thought of visiting on Baba's birthday, but that could not happen by some reasons. But in the end, Baba knows what is good time for each one of us. The discipline in the ashram was as usual impressive. Some new shops have come up in front of north indian canteen for snacks/chaats much to the delight of my better half. My daughter who would soon be 2 years old liked icecream inside ashram so much that she was literally living on icecream during the entire stay, having nothing other than icecream. I bought all the editions of Sathya Sai Speaks and i was grateful to an elderly sewadal person who helped me carry them to the billing counter and pack them in a box.

The moment i took turn from national highway into the narrow road which leads to Prashanti Nilayam around 43 kms away, i could feel energy of Baba and the energy is very high the moment we step into ashram and grows manifold when Bhajans start in the main hall. The decorations and lighting inside hall was awesome and made it look like heaven.

Thank you Wayne. Any plan for you to visit Puttaparthy? I can understand that there would not be enough motivation for you to come in Baba's physical absence. But i am sure visiting it once after Baba would be different type of experience than visiting it before Baba.

Sometimes without warning I get the strongest feeling as though I am in Prashanti Nilayam. The FEELING rapidly sweeps over me which brings a deep yearning for Swami.
I know it is HIM that does this, and when it occurs I want to return. This happens with my brother as well. We will come back but its up to when Swami says - NOT us.

I have had a few dream experiences of Swami, but there is one in particular that I would like to tell, and that is to do with Dr Sara Pavan.

As soon as I am able I will post it, and I will forward it to Dr Pavan as well.

Dear Ashok, I envy you for the golden opportunity you got. My last trip to Puttaparthi was during March 2005 when i was included in hospital service at Superspeciality hospital at pransanthigram. On the penultimate day, we had gone to take Dharsan of Bagawan. Unfortunately, though He came, he gave dharsan with closed eyes. It may be ominous of His receding from the worldly vision. I was not aware of the implication but I felt sorry that I could not see the normal dharsan. But during 2007 or so, He visited Chennai for the "Athirudra Maha yagnam. I had a close view, with His raised hands confering blessings. Then only I was happy! Thank you for sharing the nice experience. Om Sri Sai Ram.

Saisaran Ji, you are indeed blessed. You came into the fold of Baba since many decades and moments which you spent with Baba interacting with him or watching him closely are truly precious. Actually i would envy you for this any day.   

Baba is kind enough to allow me visit Puttaparthy couple of times in a year, though i never had the fortune to watch Him closely or talk to him in his physical form.
