"A Dream Experience"

As of late I have been mentioning dear Dr Sara Pavan through the emails he has been sending me, now it seems Swami has brought him into my dream as well. Let me explain:
I was dressed in white clothing and performing my duties as a seva dal, cleaning and clearing the walkway for Swami as HE was walking 20 yards or so behind me with Sara Pavan.
The orange dirt Swami was walking on was littered in places with little toy cars and other childish things. Swami was giving darshan to HIS devotees and I was making sure no rubbish was on the path HE would walk.

Then Sara Pavan came up to me with a small child’s shirt and pants and said, are these yours. I smiled and said no, they must be my little grandson’s. They were very small and very dirty and damp. I took them from him and said I will wash them.

All of a sudden I find myself standing in another location. Sitting not far from me was many students (Sai students) sitting on a polished floor.
Swami came towards me and directed me to stand up against a wall, HE then called Dr Sara Pavan forward and told him to perform an operation on me. Dr Pavan said he already has done. He performed an operation in removing a valve, and he showed it by opening his hand. Laying on the palm of his open hand was a small fleshy blood stained (something) which I supposed was a valve. (The only valve I can comprehend is a heart valve – though I do not understand the meaning to this, as yet.) Swami then said to Dr Pavan, take your scalpel and slice open his forehead, he has very bad allergies there. Remove the allergies, Swami told him.

Dr Pavan replied, but it will hurt him Swami, he should have something to deaden the pain. No, Swami said, it will not hurt him, he will not feel it. Do it Swami said.
Dr Pavan then put his hand on my shoulder and commenced to slice open my forehead with the scalpel, deeply Swami called out. I was standing very still allowing this to happen, but when Swami called out and told him to cut deep, Dr Pavan gave soft grunt as if to put force in the cutting which then made me move with reflex. As this happened I then awoke from this dream experience.

Now as I reflect back over this dream numerous of times, I have discovered a number of things which I can relate to.

This world we are born into holds many tangible attractions for us, and it holds us prisoner to these attractions. The toy cars (I believe) is the childish attachments I have for certain things in this world. Swami was giving me the opportunity to start clearing them away. By doing so, I was also cleaning my path, the path to God.

Dr Pavan … was not really Dr Pavan at all but Swami in disguise as Dr Pavan. When Dr Pavan came to me and said, are these yours ( a little boys clothing) … on further relection I have found – YES they were my clothing. Swami was showing me its time to grow out of them (the little ego self). I am now washing away the little self and allowing the REAL-SELF to emerge. But that will only happen in time, it depends on the effort I put into it.

The Sai Students sitting on polished floor was a sign to say, if you want to be my student and get rid of the little self, become like my students who are clean and polished.
I do suffer with bad allergies and have most of my life been under doctor’s and specialists because of them. Nothing seems to help in relieving me from these symptoms. I have tried every type of medication but to no relief. Three operations in the past and still no relief.

In the last 12 months I have been praying for Swami’s help, after this dream my symptoms have halved. If I did not jump with reflex when Dr Pavan was cutting my forehead open, I believe all my allergies would have been removed.

I now feel as I rid myself of certain things and start to clean myself further, the rest of these allergies will be removed through Swami’s Grace.
The only thing I am not sure about is the (valve) … which has already been removed. That I am sure will come to light when Swami finds that I am ready. OMSAIRAM
