Swami recently changed the prayer "Loka Samasthas sukino Bhavantu to "Samastha Lokas Sukino Bhavanthu, "Let All the worlds be Happy. Instead of praying for our own welfare and that of families and friends, we should broaden our prayer to encompass the entire humanity. Hence after each Bhajan season, this prayer is being chanted by all the Bhajan participants in every Samithi throughout the world. The combined effect of prayer will be visible soon alround the world. Also, when we pray for the entire world, it includes us also. But when we pray for our own welfare, it is very much restricted one. By praying for every one, we slowly erase our ego and selfishness. Sairam.
