Some truths about Prayers.

There are four categories of people in the world. One is "arthi', who seeks relief from troubles and pain, the second is "artharthi", who seeks prosperity through wealth etc., the third one is "jignasu", the seeker of spiritual truths and the fourth one is "Jnani", the self realised one. The first three categories of people approach god for the fulfillment of their desires. The last one "Jnani" need not seek any thing from god since he has realized his Self.God treats all of them alike but he allows the Jnani to take care of His Self. Swami has said, "It is better to pray God than to beg before the human beings. When we advance spiritually, we will leave everything to His sweet will. This stage is called surrender or acceptance. We are not aware of what we should seek from god. Swami has said that 'one should not ask 'coffee powder' from "Kalpaga Vruksham(the wish fulfilling tree.Hence the wise devotee leaves every thing in the hands of god and accepts what god bestows upon him.
